Auditions: Blackbeard the Pirate (Missoula Children's Theatre)

Children's Theatre
Missoula Children's Theatre will hold auditions for "Blackbeard the Pirate" at The Little Theatre of Walla Walla on Monday, June 25 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. What starts as a lazy day at the beach, quickly turns into mystery and adventure when the search for Blackbeard’s treasure begins! Tales both past and present launch a group of Beach Bums to action in search of untold riches. Before our tale is told, a cast of colorful characters begin to reveal the secrets of Blackbeard’s amazing treasure. Auditions for "Blackbeard" are open to students entering 1st through 12th grade. Auditioners should plan to stay for the full two hours, and some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal, immediately following the audition. No advance preparation is required. Approximately 50 to 60 roles are available. Tuition is $75 per child (if cast) and includes two tickets to the show. Rehearsals are Monday through Thursday, June 25-28, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (additional Friday and Saturday rehearsal times to be announced). Most students rehearse approximately 4 hours and 5 minutes per day. Performances are Friday, June 29 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 30 at 3:00 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $5. "Blackbeard the Pirate" is made possible through collaboration between The Little Theatre of Walla Walla and Missoula Children's Theatre and with the support of the Clara and Art Bald Trust. The Little Theatre of Walla Walla is located at 1130 East Sumach Street in Walla Walla. For more information about this production, call 301-8000.
