The act of banning books has been around for centuries, and each year more and more titles appear on lists of inappropriate reading materials. What are we so afraid of? Why are some books considered dangerous? Books are banned due to offensive language, blasphemy, sexual references, occult material, violence, and various other reasons. But is censorship the answer?
