Knapping is the physical art of making stone cutting tools (arrowheads, stone scrappers,knives, etc). Learn how to use percussion techniques tocreate large spalls and thin, and shape those spalls to preforms. Pressure flaking of the preforms is then used to refine the shape and make notches. Each student is required to bring protective eyeglasses or goggles, wear closed toe shoes and gloves to every class. Pay instructor $30 fee for take home tool kit.
