Free Community Presentation - What Mortality Can Teach Us About Living – Saying The Four Things That Matter Most

Signing/Readings, Signing/Readings
Chaplaincy Health Care hosts a free community presentation featuring Dr. Ira Byock, a leading palliative care physician, author, and public advocate for improving care through the end of life. The title of Dr. Byock’s presentation is “What Mortality Can Teach Us About Living - Saying the Four Things that Matter Most.” It is based on his book, The Four Things that Matter Most, which focuses on four simple phrases - “Please forgive me,” “I forgive you,” “Thank you,” and “I love you.” Dr. Byock will explain how practicing these life-affirming words can mend and nurture relationships and inner lives, providing a path to emotional wellbeing, and guidance through interpersonal difficulties of life with integrity and grace. The 90-minute event includes a 60-minute formal presentation plus Q & A. Dr. Byock’s books will be available for purchase and signing. Reservations are not required, and the event is free and open to all ages.
